The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Inovation Fund invites you to join us next year as we host workshops and networking receptions throughout the Americas for higher education professionals and administrators looking to internationalize their campuses and connect with other representatives in international education.
The workshops will focus on challenges and opportunities in the host region, as well as how institutions in the Western Hemisphere can participate in 100,000 Strong in the Americas. Presentations will be given by Innovation Fund grant recipients, stakeholders from the U.S. Department of State, Partners of the Americas, and other public and private sector collaborators.

This full-day workshop precedes the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) 12th International Conference, Creating New Paths for International Collaboration, on March 29-31, 2017. Participants will engage with higher education institutions in Central America, the Caribbean, and the United States to share effective practices and strategies for increasing participation in study abroad within the region. Topics to be discussed include identifying and overcoming challenges to student recruitment, addressing safety & security, and building cross-cultural competence. The workshop will be followed by an evening networking reception to allow institutions the opportunity to build international partnerships and celebrate 100,000 Strong in the Americas achievements thus far.

This full-day workshop will precede the 2017 NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo, Expanding Community Strengthening Connections, on May 28-June 2, 2017. Participants will engage with higher education institutions throughout the Western Hemisphere and discover effective practices for developing partnerships to drive student mobility in the region. Presenters, including Innovation Fund grant recipients, will discuss how to leverage networks to build partnerships and participate in new Innovation Fund grant competitions. The workshop will be followed by an evening reception focused on celebrating and recognizing the partners and institutions involved in the success and momentum of 100,000 Strong in the Americas.
