Event | Launch of the 100K CLIMA Grant Competition to Build Inclusive Climate-Action and Student Exchange Programs between the United States and Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay – May 3, 2023

On May 3, 2023, the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund team, along with the U.S. Embassy in Chile hosted a  virtual event for the official announcement of the new 100K CLIMA Grant Competition to Build Inclusive Climate-Action and Student Exchange Programs between the United States and Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. The event included brief remarks by Kyle Fishman, Public Diplomacy Attaché – U.S. Embassy in Santiago-Chile, Maggie Hug, Director of Regional Education Initiatives – Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, Christian Asinelli, Vice President of Strategic Programming – CAF: Development Bank of Latin America, and Rita Moriconi, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator – EducationUSA, and highlighted past regional 100K institutional partnerships.

This 100K Innovation Fund competition was generously supported by CAF: Development Bank of Latin America, along with the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and will provide funding to 6 new partnerships between U.S. colleges and universities with regional higher education institutions in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
