Cultural Heroes: An Interdisciplinary Experience in Community Health and
Sustainable Development for Social Entrepreneurship in the U.S. and El Salvador
Through this project, El Salvador will be integrated into an already-existing faculty-led study abroad in the partner country with a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) component completed before and after travel. Students will develop new leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and learn how to propose and execute social entrepreneurship projects. Students will work closely in bi-national teams to improve their teamwork skills and assessment while promoting multicultural and second language awareness.
