On October 29, 2020 the 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund launched the U.S.-Colombia Grant Competition for 21st Century Higher Education Partnerships, graciously supported by the Instituto Colombiano de Crédito Educativo y Estudios Técnicos en el Exterior, Mariano Ospina Pérez (ICETEX) and the U.S. Department of State through the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá to support higher education partnerships and academic mobility and training programs for students in Colombia and the United States.

The virtual launch event featured remarks by the U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, Philip S. Goldberg, and President of ICETEX, Manuel Acevedo Jaramillo, along with representatives from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Partners of the Americas.
