University of Wyoming’s Collaborative Project Receives Innovation Fund [Video]

The University of Wyoming and Universidad Autonomo de Yucatan will work on a collaborative project in engineering. The project will be funded by the “100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovative Fund”. The “100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovative Fund” aims to bring 100,000 students from the USA to study in Latin America and the Caribbean.

LARAMIE, Wyo., April 10 — The University of Wyoming issued the following news release: The University of Wyoming is among seven schools — three from the United States, two from Brazil, and one each in Colombia and Mexico — to receive grant money for collaborative research projects, and to increase bilateral mobility of U.S., Latin American and Caribbean students through study abroad program development.

En abril se dará el intercambio entre las universidades, comentaron Stephen Ferst, del Collage of Staten Island, y Elizabeth Rodríguez, directora de Educación Global de Unibe. Esteban Monge/La República Unos siete estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad de Iberoamérica (Unibe) iniciarán en abril un intercambio con Estados Unidos, mediante el programa “100.000 Strong in the Americas” que otorgó la beca a dicha universidad privada.

URI engineering students making prosthetic arms, hands for Colombian amputees – Providence Business News

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Thanks to a $25,000 federal grant, University of Rhode Island engineering students will design and make prosthetic hands and arms for amputees in Colombia. The project, funded by the 100,000 Strong in the Americas program, will enable the students to travel to the South American country this summer.
