International Exchange and Training for Human Rights Policy
This project will create a long-lasting impact for both institutions by providing the opportunity for Colombian students to gain exposure to U.S. human rights policy and introducing U.S. students to the multifaceted human rights situation within Colombia. Colombian students will receive course and internship credit, while U.S. students will gain research experience and valuable real-world observation while in Dallas and Medellín. With the conclusion of this project, students will understand the policies of countries that receive refugee and asylum seekers and the countries that experience significant human rights violations.
